GUEST SERVICES AND ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATOR

Maui Ocean Center, the Aquarium of Hawaii seeks a professional and detail-oriented individual to be our Guest Services and Administrative Coordinator. He/she is responsible for the growth and development of the park’s guest and community member program and for driving programs that provide a positive first impression and experience for our guests.

The Aquarium’s community member program is one of the most valued tools for fulfilling our mission to foster understanding, wonder and respect for Hawaii’s marine life. Our members are largely responsible for the success of the aquarium over the past 18 years. Maui Ocean Center seeks a charismatic and creative individual to strengthen the aquarium’s membership program through the development of new and innovative programs, including email marketing, blog and media, policies and events intended to increase visitor participation.

This is a full-time position, requiring the incumbent to work holidays, weekends and evenings providing administrative support for both the Sales & Marketing teams. MARKETING PROGRAMS AND CULTURE COORDINATOR
Maui Ocean Center is seeking a Marketing Program and Culture Coordinator. The program coordinator will be responsible for developing, and implementing in-park programs and special events to create a sense of place and foster excitement and overall guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities also include coordinating cultural practitioner programs and increase community participation. The position requires a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with great written and verbal communication skills.

The marketing program coordinator will facilitate promotions and events held at the Center and perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Marketing. Interested professionals must have a Bachelor’s degree preferably in business administration, marketing or related area, a minimum of 2 years of related experience in visitor marketing or related discipline, excellent writing and verbal communication skills, an extensive knowledge of tourism, retailing and hospitality marketing.

COOK/FOOD PREP, STEWARD/DISHWASHER, HOST/HOSTESS
Seascape Restaurant located at the Maui Ocean Center is seeking employees for the above positions. Candidates should be able to work flexible hours both day and evening. Previous experience is preferred but training is available.

Internships

Maui Ocean Center offers 6 academic internship positions annually and internships may begin at any point in the year. Students who can complete a minimum of 75 hours are preferred but hours are negotiable, based on the requirements of the student’s academic program. Applications are accepted throughout the year but are reviewed each November for placement during the following year. Interns are not provided with any stipend.
