Maui 5K 2021

The Maui 5K is Going Virtual!

Maui Ocean Center is proud to sponsor the annual Maui 5K—a fun, healthy event for students, parents, athletes, and non-athletes alike.

Each spring, Maui’s keiki (children) can earn money for their schools and develop healthy fitness habits during a 5K run or 1-mile run/walk. Proceeds raised by the event provide funds to maintain or purchase new equipment for schools’ physical fitness, play, and athletic programs.

Help us help them!

Maui 5K is in need of donations and/or sponsorships from Maui businesses. Donations can include:

  • raffle prizes
  • event advertising
  • participation in the event

To support community health and well-being, the Maui 5K is a virtual run/walk over a one week span. Registrants may safely run or walk at their leisure, at their desired location, at any time, as long as all government authority rules, regulations, and health guidelines are followed. Online registration is available now, $25 per child/adult for 5K Run and $20 for 1 Mile Walk, which includes a guaranteed commemorative 10th-anniversary t-shirt if registered by Thursday, February 25, 2021; however, registration and donations are welcome through March 7, 2021, 11:59 pm.

The run/walk is open to all age levels and both public and private Maui Nui schools are highly encouraged to participate.  Registrants have the opportunity to designate the school they wish to support on the registration form.

Runners and walkers are encouraged to time themselves and submit to Maui 5K, along with post-run/walk images to social media to be eligible for door prizes, which include Nā Hoa Kai Annual Memberships to 12 lucky winners.  Prize donations continue to be accepted and will be acknowledged in post virtual race media.

Mahalo to event sponsors Adventure Maui Sports, Bayer, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. and Maui Health System.  Further sponsorship opportunities are available and financial donations encouraged at maui5k.org or email maui5kinfo@gmail.com.
