About Limu ʻēkaha

Limu ʻēkaha is a red to brown limu with a smooth texture. It grows in the intertidal zone along rocky shores exposed to the surf, where it attaches to hard surfaces.

While it is commonly found growing on rock, limu ʻēkaha can also attach to the shells of limpets—an unusual place to find this surf-dwelling limu.
