Let's Turn the Tide on Marine Debris.

Keālia Beach & Reef Cleanup

Sunday, October 20, 2019

Start Wai.Kai Week with an act of environmental stewardship! Join Maui Ocean Center Marine Institute in partnership with Maui Ocean Center and Maui Nui Botanical Gardens for a beach to reef cleanup at Keālia Boardwalk. Help decrease marine pollution and protect Maui’s coastal and underwater environments.

Join the reef cleanup in the ocean off Keālia Pond by bringing a mask, snorkel, fins, and cutting device (scissors, etc.) with you. Help on the beach by bringing your hat, UV protective clothing or mineral-based sunscreen, bucket, and reusable gloves if you have them. Buckets, datasheets, and gloves will be provided.

Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Volunteers are encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle.
