Position Summary

The Food Runner is responsible for ensuring that food is delivered promptly and accurately from the kitchen to guests. This role supports servers and kitchen staff by maintaining smooth communication, ensuring food quality, and providing excellent guest service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Confirm that orders are complete, properly plated, and meet quality standards before serving.
  • Assist servers by replenishing water, condiments, and other table needs.
  • Communicate efficiently between kitchen staff and front-of-house team.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations, dining areas, and kitchen pass.
  • Assist in resetting and clearing tables when needed.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by being attentive, polite, and responsive to requests.
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous restaurant, food service, or hospitality experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand/walk for extended periods.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Friendly, professional, and guest-oriented demeanor.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
