Public sleepover dates are available one Friday per month*. Private sleepovers are available most dates with at least 30 days advance notice. Please contact us as early as possible due to staff scheduling for both public and private bookings.
For private bookings, please provide your top 3 desired dates upon inquiry. Please be advised that not all desired dates may be available due to staffing or prescheduled public or private events at Maui Ocean Center. Please see FAQ’s for any further questions, or email fanakalea@mauioceancenter.com
All guests must be at least 7 years old. Sleep over activities are geared towards children ages 7-12.
We need a minimum of 15 people for sleepovers. The maximum is 40 participants.
We require 1 adult for every 8 children.
Yes! We will be happy to work with your private group to tailor the evening to your requests.
The sleepover check-in time is 6:45pm and the program ends at 9:30am the next morning.
Absolutely! Each participant receives complimentary entrance into the park the next day when the sleepover ends at 9:30am. You can enjoy the park all day if you wish!
The sleepover is $125.00 per person plus tax. This is the adult and child price. Maui Ocean Center members receive a 15% discount.
In general, outside food and drinks are not allowed during the event. An evening snack and continental breakfast are included in the price of each ticket. If you have severe allergies, please contact us at (808) 270-7075.
The Maui Ocean Center is a smoke free facility per Hawai’i State Law. There is no smoking allowed on the premises.
Guests will be sleeping on a carpeted surface in front of our large Open Ocean exhibit. If it is a very large group, some may need to sleep in our sea jellies room.
Yes! Be sure to mention that you have an annual pass when you contact us for reservations. Have your card number(s) available.
Alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited with no exceptions.
For group reservations, we recommend that you reserve your dates as early as possible. Once the available dates are fully committed, additional dates are not guaranteed. Reservations must be made at least 2 weeks prior to a scheduled sleepover.
The aquarium is an exciting place at night! The diurnal (daytime) critters hide and rest while the nocturnal (nighttime) critters come out and are active. To let the diurnal animals relax and see the nocturnal animals in action, we ask that you do not bring a flashlight with you. We will provide a red lens flashlight for you.
Power inside the sleeping areas is very limited. Please ensure your cell phones are fully charged prior to the sleepover.
