Cool experience for the kids and adults. They have a cafe, playground, and jewelry center as well as the aquarium on site. We had to pay $20 for parking then we booked our tickets in advance so we were able to get checked in quickly. Friendly and informative staff, would recommend to everyone here on the island.

Buy your tickets at least the day before, tickets are +$5 day of. Paid but cheap parking, we found it worth it! 3 hours is more than enough time to get through everything at a slow pace, definitely can get through in 2 hours. Learned a lot and it was really cool.

There are many great educational opportunities at the aquarium and on the day I visited it was nice to hear families excited to see the animals and enjoyed overhearing their joy as they navigated the exhibits. Some of the information boards are looking a bit tired but still serve their purpose. I felt the admission fee was high without a clear understanding why. Is the aquarium a nonprofit? Does a percentage go to research/conservation? Also, charging for parking was an unexpected, unwelcome surprise given the high ticket price. My biggest gripe during my visit were the staff. I hate to bring it up but as a former museum director it’s important the venue understands that this is the single most valuable asset and area for improvement. During my visit I didn’t hear a single “please” or “thank you” from a team member. I didn’t see a single smile and the team member who introduced the whale movie barely looked up as she recited the scripted intro with all the warmth of an ice cube. I honestly thought the whole staff had just been told bad news before they started their shift. Everyone was miserable. I purchased a couple of items from the gift shop as I felt the prices were reasonable compared to other souvenir shops but the size of the shop and volume of merchandise was excessive. There’s a disconnect between the entrance fee and gift shop. Is this a high-end educational boutique shopping experience, or catering to broader audiences? I felt they were trying to dip toes in both and didn’t pull it off.

Great aquarium! This rates high on my list. If you are military active or retired great family discount. I have been to a lot of aquariums over the years and this one is amazing.
