Really nice aquarium - it's no georgia or baltimore aquarium, but it has some cool exhibits. There are some huge tanks that get you really great views of sharks, rays, and all sorts of fish. We particularly enjoyed the open-top sea turtle exhibit that puts you easily within arms reach of the turtles. You're so close that, if you were allowed to touch them, you could touch them without even bending over or reaching out.
I personally liked that its largely outdoors. Most aquariums I've been to are completely indoors, so it feels more open and spacious the way it's setup.
The most fun we had was actually a smaller section that had various camaflouge-type fish where the kids were racing to see who could spot the fish first. There were some really cool things there that I had not seen anywhere else before.
The only thing I couldn't understand was the supposedly 3d humpback whale exhibit. You can clearly see there's equipment there for projecting properly across the dome, but the presentation was nothing more than a 15 minute video played through a standard projector that wasn't even setup to accommodate the warp of the dome. The image was much smaller than any movie theater I've ever been to, and it definitely wasn't 3d. I dont know if theyre advertising a future experience, or if maybe the 3d experience was broken, but it was super underwhelming and I dont understand how it could be so far off of what they're advertising.
Overall, cool place and glad we went.
