FEBRUARY 8, 2021, MA`ALAEA, MAUI, HI – Maui Ocean Center is proud to present the 10th Annual Maui 5K Virtual Run and Walk, in partnership with Run for Fitness, from Monday, March 1 through Sunday, March 7, 2021.
To support community health and well-being, the Maui 5K is a virtual run/walk over a one week span. Registrants may safely run or walk at their leisure, at their desired location, at any time, as long as all government authority rules, regulations and health guidelines are followed.
On-line registration is available now, $25 per child/adult for 5K Run and $20 for 1 Mile Walk, which includes a guaranteed commemorative 10th anniversary t-shirt if registered by Thursday, February 25, 2021; however, registration and donations are welcome through March 7, 2021, 11:59pm.
The run/walk is open to all age levels and both public and private Maui nui schools are highly encouraged to participate. Registrants have the opportunity to designate the school they wish to support on the registration form.
Runners and walkers are encouraged to time themselves and submit to Maui 5K, along with post run/walk images to social media to be eligible for door prizes, which include Nā Hoa Kai Annual Memberships to 12 lucky winners. Prize donations continue to be accepted and will be acknowledged in post virtual race media.

ABOUT MAUI 5K
The Maui 5K is a 501c3 non-profit organization that seeks to promote health and fitness for Hawai`i’s children by supporting Maui County schools’ ability to increase participation in youth sports and recreation programs.
Proceeds raised through the run/walk will support funding to maintain or purchase new equipment for schools’ physical fitness, play and athletic programs. 2021 marks the 10th anniversary of the Maui 5K, founded by community philanthropists, Jon and Arlene Emerson.
