Nā Manu Kai – The Birds of the Sea

Learn about the history, life cycle, and important contributions of Nā Manu Kai, seabirds. Maui Nui Seabird Recovery Project (MNSRP) works to protect seabirds and their habitats. MNSRP will provide insight into the threats that seabirds face, the work being done to restore their populations, results from their research, and information on how to volunteer to protect seabird habitats and monitor their population.
Biologist Jay Penniman has managed the Maui Nui Seabird Recovery Project since its inception in 2006. Jenni Learned manages field operations and Geographic Information Systems of the Maui Nui Seabird Recovery Project and has 17 years of experience leading field research projects around the world.
