Job Title: Reef Cafe Attendant
Department: Food & Beverage/Reef Cafe
Reports To: Director of Food & Beverage

Position Summary

We are looking for a personable Reef Café Attendant to welcome our guests in a friendly and polite manner. The counter attendant’s responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness, attending to customers’ requests, light prep and serving food and beverages, and accepting payments.

To be successful as a Reef Café Attendant, you will carefully listen to customers to ensure accuracy when taking requests and demonstrate exceptional problem-solving abilities. A top-notch counter attendant should always strive to deliver outstanding customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Greeting customers as they arrive and making them feel welcome.
Answering questions about the menu, and making note of special requests, if required.
Serving food, beverages, and other food items to guest from the counter, or, if seated, taking the guest’s their orders.
Communicating food and drink orders to the fellow workers.
Maintaining cleanliness standards by following posted side-work and cleaning schedule.
Replenishing supplies when required and throughout the day.
Processing payments.
Complying with company policies.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

A high school diploma or GED.
Previous customer service experience is preferred.
Working knowledge of promoting, selling, and packaging food products.
The ability to process bills and cash registers.
Experience working with POS systems.
The ability to adhere to and uphold sanitization standards.
Excellent listening and communication skills.
A positive attitude and a polite and friendly demeanor.
Must be 21+ . Must have the ability to obtain a Maui County Liquor Card.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Standing, bending, lifting and stooping for several hours at a time.
Communicating with guests and colleagues throughout your shift
Hours may include day and evening hours.
