Limu Exhibit Grand Opening Celebration

On Thursday, November 12, we’re celebrating Limu: Marine Flora of Hawaiʻi at Maui Ocean Center. Here’s what’s happening:
- Grand Opening: 9:00 am
- Limu Activities: All day during park hours.
- Limu Sea Talk: 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm. RSVPs required. See below.
Event Details
Grand Opening Ceremony: Join us in the morning as we officially celebrate our newest exhibit. Check-in starts at 8:45 am.
Daytime Activities: You don’t need to attend the morning ceremony to enjoy the celebration. Visit during the day to explore the exhibit and take part in hands-on limu activities with local students, educators, and community organizations. Seascape at Maui Ocean Center will offer a limu lunch special, and Ululani’s will debut its Limu Pālahalaha shave ice flavor, featuring limu grown at Maui Ocean Center.

$15 adults | $10 keiki – Discount applied in cart
Evening Limu Sea Talk
Join us in the evening for a free Sea Talk featuring limu specialists from across Hawaiʻi followed by an audience Q&A. Seats are limited and advance reservations are required.
Doors open at 5:30 PM | Talk begins at 6 PM
You’re welcome to attend the evening talk whether or not you visit during the day. Aquarium admission is not required. Seats are limited, and a separate advance reservation is required.
