Kula Botanical Garden resides on the slopes of Haleakalā, taking over eight acres with its diverse collections of plants from around the world. A strong commitment to preserving native Hawaiian species, Kula Botanical Garden is an amazing experience for people of all ages visiting Maui.
As you walk among this global display of natural beauty, the garden has labeled the plant’s botanical name, common name, and country of origin. Along with unique rock formations, a covered bridge, waterfall, koi pond, aviary (a large enclosure for birds), and carved tiki exhibit, Kula Botanical Garden is the perfect blend of exploration and education.
The garden was created in 1968 by business owners, Warren and Helen McCord, serving as a display for their landscape architecture company. It has now become a sanctuary for wonderful global and Hawaiian plant species and a sought-after tourist spot for all to enjoy.
What Kula Botanical Garden Offers
