You absolutely can’t go wrong with visiting Maui in June. The sun is out, our weather is warm, and the water is just the perfect temperature for all sorts of activities. If you’re traveling with family, taking a honeymoon, or visiting with friends, June provides the perfect blend of relaxation and adventure.

Our seasonal guide is your go-to resource for visiting Maui in June, offering information on the weather, must-do activities, and what to prepare for before your trip. Planning a trip can be stressful. When traveling to Maui, we want you to feel at ease as you plan.

Maui Weather in June

You can expect warm, sunny days with average temperatures ranging from the mid-70s to the upper 80s Fahrenheit. Since June falls within Maui’s relatively dry season, you won’t experience much rain. Ocean temperatures usually hang around the low 80’s, providing the perfect temperatures for swimming and other water activities. Despite the warm weather, areas with higher elevation can be significantly cooler, so you may want to pack a light jacket.

Must-Do Maui June Activities

Enjoy Any of Our Beaches

The list of beaches to spend a day at is endless, offering you plenty of great options to snorkel, surf, swim, or just relax. Many of our beaches have public amenities, but always check before you go to a specific beach to make sure. For a list of the best beaches on Maui, click here. If you want to explore some of our secret beaches, we have that too.

Snorkel at Molokini Crater

If snorkeling is on your Maui to-do list, nothing beats an experience under the surface of Molokini Crater. Accessible only by boat, this sheltered snorkeling haven was created by a volcanic eruption millions of years ago. It’s now home to diverse marine life and vibrant coral reefs. Tours provide all the essentials, making it easy for anyone to enjoy this underwater adventure.

Hike in Haleakalā National Park

Haleakalā National Park presents a diverse hiking experience for every adventurer. Whether you’re exploring Hosmer Grove, traversing Sliding Sands Trail, or descending into the depths of the Pipiwai Trail, you’ll find incredible flora and fauna along the way. A cultural icon on Maui, Haleakalā National Park is a memorable sight.

Experience a Lūʻau

Immerse yourself in our Hawaiian culture with a traditional lūʻau. These events are full of beautiful leis, traditional music, and delicious Hawaiian cuisine, like kalua pig and poi. More than just a dinner show, a lūʻau is a celebration of Hawaiian heritage and gives you a chance to connect with our island’s spirit through storytelling, dance, and food.

Tee Off With Ocean Views

Maui has some of the best golf courses and with June’s weather, there’s no better time to enjoy a round of golf. Both experienced and casual golfers will find their ideal round while on Maui so definitely book yourself a tee time.

Take a Dinner Cruise

Cap off your day of exploration and fun with a dinner cruise. Indulge in fresh, local Hawaiian cuisine while enjoying stunning coastal sunsets. This activity is great in a luxurious or more casual setting.
