We go to almost every aquarium at every place we visit and we enjoy them all almost equally. This one has a 3D humpback whale exhibit and it’s immersive like sitting in a planetarium. It was amazing (and included with your admission ticket). The picture for printing with the inserted background was problematic because nobody seems to know how the process works. You scan the QR code from the card they give you, you stand and take a selfie but after that, good luck getting a printout. The one kiosk’s card reader wasn’t working, the other one inside the whale exhibit was frustrating. The pictures are full of ads and watermarks. When we tried to pick ones for printing, the ones without the fluff were not given as an option. We didn’t want to risk printing with all the ads and watermarks so we ended just getting the digital ones since people seemed confused about where to get the pictures. Besides this, the aquarium was nice. The gift shop is really big but everything seems overpriced. I think it’s just because it’s Hawaii. 🤷🏻‍♀️ They didn’t have a large selection of stuffed animals. We got a stuffed whale at the Walmart instead. 😂 Loved the sea turtles; the little octopus was spectacular as he changed color in front of our eyes; and they had some curiously nice looking eels (otherwise notoriously known for their ugliness 😆). Not horribly big; we did spend a good three hours at the place.
